		<description>Mal
The guru on this is a guy called Fons Trompenaars - I saw him do a session based on his book The Seven Cultures of Capitalism about fifteen years ago.

On &lt;a href="http://www.thtconsulting.com/main/CCOL%20DEMO/CCOL%20start.html" rel="nofollow"&gt;his website &lt;/a&gt; thee is a quick survey that reflects his work. the answers to some pretty basic questions vary dramatically by national origin.

His hypothesis is that organisations should match the people they send overseas on thebasis of their personal values.

Intresting stuff

		<description>John and Prue,

I had considered putting my presentation up on Ning, but some of the content is specific to my workplace and cannot be published outside of it. I agree that there are some issues with engagement within some sections of this class. My personal feeling is that, for many, this is a very different way of learning (I know it is for me) and the subject does dive in very deeply, very quickly. The whole process has been invaluable for me in helping me determine what sorts of support to provide our new learners and the educators to ensure that they can fully engage.

<description>But John there are also a large number in our subject that have not chosen to buy in and who are not really meeting the requirements of a blog post per week. How do you get these people to engage?

		<description>Mal
For evidence how quickly disinterested and unaware people will buy in to the available technology you can use our group as a case study. I chose this subject mainly because it was available externally and i needed the credit points to round out my degree. You may have noticed I have a total buy in. there are others like me in this group, I suspect.

Observe the group, and the way forward may appear out of the blur.
